No matter what face the media in Israel wear, it is losing to Palestinian resistance. The costs for Israel have been astronomical in terms of military, psychological, and economy. Israeli media assures its public that all is fine, war is going well and they are winning. But the ‘facts on the ground’ show otherwise. The ‘iron dome’ is junk and there is damage that cannot be hidden, soldiers are dying daily and they cannot all have night funerals to hide their deaths from the public. So the highly emotional and pathological public cannot contain its urge for vengeance, bloodshed and revenge. Resistance in the ‘West Bank’ is getting more serious as well and the occupation forces are lashing out there to ‘win’ by proxy. The Jewish military state’s pretext for severely limiting access to the al-Aqsa compound is that Palestinians “intend to start riots.” But the Waqf is the authority over the compound, not Jewish military state, so whenever the military state attempts to usurp authority and take control there, it is the same as a dog ‘marking its territory’ in that it is so frustrated with failure at subduing Palestinian resistance that it wants to show, by force, that it is ‘in control’ and can ‘take’ the holy site at will. So attacking worshippers at the al-Aqsa compound is an act of violence and provocation to the worshippers there since Jewish soldiers and police are not supposed to be there in the first place, and in the second, only show up to attack, maim, injure and kill. The occupation forces have been busy in East al-Quds/Jerusalem, repressing Palestinians there and making many arrests. One is supposedly for ‘assaulting’ a Jewish man, but what does that even mean? The Jewish military state considers “anxiety” an injury to be counted in the tally, so what is an ‘assault ‘looking at a Jew, a self-Chosenite? Not flopping down on the ground and grovelling? Keep in mind that the occupation soldiers make raids and arrests to “keep the uncertainty” going, to keep the disruption to lives and routines on-going in order to sow fear and weaken Palestinians (this has been told in testimony to Breaking the Silence by Jewish soldiers who did it). Israeli forces detained five Palestinians late Monday during clashes in the town of Abu Dis.
Clashes erupted following a demonstration against the Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip.
A spokesperson for a local popular committee told Ma’an that dozens demonstrated against the war on Gaza before Israeli forces fired tear gas, stun grenades and rubber-coated steel bullets at the crowd, inuring 3 people.
Two of the detainees are paramedics with the Red Crescent, Ismail Hajja and Samed Qbeisha.

Now we find another level of duplicity and deviousness in this sordid, tragic affair: the eldest confessed murderer will plead ‘mental illness’ defense to escape punishment, assisted by an organization that receives grants from the Americans. The cousin of Mohammad, Tariq, a Palestinian-American on holiday in al-Quds/Jerusalem, was brutally beaten by violent Jewish police while watching a demonstration from his relatives’ yard, and then made to pay the Jews a fine! Al-Quds/Jerusalem, Palestine – This morning I woke up to the noise of helicopters, police cars, and ambulances as clashes erupted in our previously peaceful neighbourhood of Shufat, East Jerusalem, with Israeli security forces shooting at Palestinian youths who were protesting the killing of a 16-year-old boy, Mohammed Abu Khudair. Mohammed had been snatched from our neighbourhood while on his way to prayers at dawn, but eyewitnesses who observed him forced into a vehicle had informed the police. A few hours later, Israeli police discovered his body in the forests of Jerusalem in the site of the massacred village of Deir Yasin – a moment of déjà vu or a traumatic flashback of the village itself! His body had been stabbed, disfigured and charred. These events took place the night following an attempt by Israelis to kidnap a 10-year-old boy, Mousa Zalloum, who was saved by his mother’s courageous resistance. Israeli forces Thursday arrested around 20 Palestinians, including minors, during predawn raids across the West Bank and Jerusalem, according to local and security sources.
In Hebron area, Israeli army arrested seven people, including three children between the ages of 8 and 10 under the pretext of throwing stones at the army. The children were later released upon intervention from the Palestinian Liaison Office. Three other Palestinians were arrested in the nearby village of Beit Ummar, while another was arrested at ‘Atzion’ checkpoint after being beaten up by soldiers in the head with the butts of their rifles.
